DIY Body Scrub

We know that you’ve been aching to get back into your routine. Your beauty routine, that is. The salon may seem so far away right now. Perhaps you were getting your weekly massage by Patty, or your regular Fresh and Glow facial by Patricia.

If you’re feeling like your skin could use a wake up call, you can easily do it from your home with just a few simple kitchen ingredients! Here is another DIY beauty plan to help brighten up your skin, your mood, and your day!

You will need these four ingredients:

1/2 cup of Coffee grounds
1 tsp of coconut oil
1 tsp of Vanilla extract
A moisturizing liquid body wash

Start by pouring a desirable amount of liquid body wash into a bowl or jar, something that you can bring into your shower later.

Next, pour half a cup of coffee grounds on top of the body wash.

Thirdly, pour the teaspoon of vanilla extract over top.

And lastly, place the dollop of coconut oil on the top to seal everything in.

Mix together until it looks like a speckled paste.

Now you’re ready to apply!

In the shower, use your hands to rub the scrub all over your body, and let sit for two minutes to coat.

This body scrub will deeply exfoliate your skin. The coffee will act as a dry brush for your skin reducing imflammation, improving circulation, and temporatily reducing the appearance of cellulite.

The coconut oil will moisturize and soften your skin, and the vanilla extract will add to the sweet scent combination you’ve created, like a vanilla latte with a coconut crumble.

When you’re ready to rinse off, use warm water and a washcloth, as the coffee grounds may want to stick around. Then follow by a quick rinse with cool water to tighten those pores.

This should leave you feeling awake, refreshed and softer than ever. It might even replace your daily morning coffee!

So, what are you waiting for?
