Even though you stay consistent with hair care and skin care, you’re skin may thank you for that extra lovin’! People over time have discovered that most of the time, natural IS better. Natural oils have been used in skin care and hair care for centuries. Sometimes these oils are forgotten about because they may take up such a small portion of a product but don’t overlook them! Some oils on their own and used consistantly will leave your hair and skin very happy. Although your skin and hair make up their own oils, maybe it’s time to spice it up and give them that extra nourishment that they didn’t know they needed.

Skin Care:

1. Olive Oil

• Something minor but worth noting is that olive oil doesn’t typially trigger any allergic reaction. It is
  recommended that you use extra-virgin olive oil when applying to your hair and skin. Olive oil
  contains vitamins A, D, E, and K. With it’s thick consistency, it is a great choice for an all-body
  application. Using an olive oil cleanser will help you avoid dry skin.

1. Shea Butter

• Shea butter is derived from the nuts of the African shea tree . Shea butter is a tallow-like substance
  that is commonly found in solid form, but it melts at body temperature (similar to coconut oil). Shea
  butter is sometimes used as a moisturizer and is in some hair products. Unrefined shea butter can also
  be combined with olive oil or coconut oil to create a smoother texture for application.

1. Coconut Oil

• Coconut oil is easily absorbed into the skin and is known to have many health benefits including the
  use of vitamins E and K and it’s antifungal and antibacterial properties. The one con of using coconut
  oil on the skin is that it can cause breakouts. If you are acne prone or have naturally oily skin, I would
  steer clear from applying coconut oil onto your skin. A study included in the journal “Dermatitis”,
  researchers found that coconut oil was better than olive oil at moisturizing skin when used in a carrier.
  Unrefined coconut oil is the best version to get.

1. Jojoba Oil

• Jojoba oil is extracted from a seed and is used medicinally by Native American tribes. Jojoba is native
  to Mexico and the Southwest. Researchers have found that jojoba oil may have anti-inflammatory and
  wound-healing effects. Jojoba oil is also used to promote hair growth. Massaging a certain amount into
  your scalp and roots at least once a day is ideal for obtaining hair growth.

1. Rosehip Seed Oil

• Rosehip seed oil is extracted from the seeds of wild rose bushes. Rosehip seed oil has seen a surge in
  popularity and is increasingly found in facial skincare products that imitate moisturizing and anti-aging
  benefits. Essential fatty acids and antioxidants in this oil (including vitamin A) provide relatively high
  protection from inflammation and oxidative skin damage. Rosehip seed oil has shown promising results
  when used to alleviate inflammatory skin condtions such as eczema

1. Coconut Oil

• Coconut oil contains large amounts of fatty acids that allow it to penetrate hair deeply without evaporating. Coconut oil is rich in carbohydartes, vitamins, and minerals that are essential for good hair health. Coconut oil is ideal for all hair types but it favors to people with dry, damaged, and dull hair. Coconut oil helps protect your hair from heat damage and repairs damaged and broken hair. Using coconut oil on your hair reguarly will also help prevent hair loss. Coconut oil improves the look of hair by helping it retain moisture and adding an extra beautiful and healthy shine.

1. Avocado Oil

• Avocado oil is rich in fatty acids and minerals which makes things ideal when straightening hair. The antioxidants and vitamin E in the oil make it excellent for taming frizz, locking in moisture, and retaining shine. Avocado oil is ideal for damaged, dull, or frizzy hair.

1. Argan Oil

• Argan oil is also known as Moroccan oil and is derived from nuts produced by argan trees. Argan oil is rich in fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamin E. Argan oil makes your hair look beautiful and also have many protective qualities. All natural organic argan oil is the best choice for your hair since it is minially processed and does not contain any chemicals or additives. • Grapeseed oil is an extract from cold-pressed grape seeds. It contains emollients, antioxidants, and nutrients that are essenial to the growth of healthy hair and skin cells. Grapeseed oil is superior in it’s ability to treat brittle hair, weak hair, and hair loss. Grapeseed oil moisturizes and conditions hair.
